- Future: We may store the message, AI response, and limited context or summary to improve service. If this changes, we will notify you before chat storage begins.
- Usage Data: Log files, IP address, device/browser type, and activity within our app.
- Payment Data: (Not yet applicable — Stripe integration is not active).
2. How We Use Your Information
We use your information to:
- Provide, maintain, and improve our chatbot services.
- Respond to customer support requests.
- Power AI responses only for your connected accounts. Your chat data is never used to train public AI models.
- Communicate with you about new features, offers, or updates.
- Ensure security, detect fraud, and comply with legal obligations.
AI Processing Transparency
OpenAI processes your messages in real time to generate responses. According to OpenAI's Privacy Policy, data submitted via their API is not used to train their models.
3. How We Share Information
We do not sell your personal information. We may share data only with:

Meta Integration Scope
When you connect Instagram or Facebook, we request permission to:
- Read and send messages on your behalf (for automated responses)

Some of our service providers process data outside your country of residence (e.g., United States, European Union). Where required, we rely on Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) or equivalent legal safeguards to protect your data during transfer.

We use cookies and Google reCAPTCHA only to:
- Authenticate users.
- Protect against spam and abuse.
We do not use analytics or advertising cookies at this time. You can disable cookies in your browser, but some features may not work properly.

- Account data: Retained until you delete your account.
- Chat data: Currently processed in real time and not stored. If storage is introduced in future, chat data will be deleted upon account deletion or user request. Users will be notified before any such change.
- Log data: Retained for security and troubleshooting, typically no longer than 90 days.
- Backups: When you delete your account, data is removed from our active systems immediately. Some data may remain in encrypted backups for up to 30 days before being permanently deleted.
9. Children's Privacy
PlentiChat is not intended for children under 13 (or under 16 in the EU). We do not knowingly collect data from children.
10. Changes to this Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If significant changes are made, we will notify you via email or through our website.
